Dubai, UAE, March 25, 2015 - Imdaad, a leading provider of integrated facilities and waste management solutions in the GCC, has launched its new social media campaign in support of the global environment protection initiative Earth Hour organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature. The campaign calls on its online followers to participate in the global lights-off event on March 28, 2015 by lighting a candle for one hour. Furthermore, it encourages them to snap the most creative photos of their Earth Hour participation and share them online using the official hashtag #ImdaadEarthHour. The company will create a tab on its official Facebook page to showcase all photos, of which the three most creative pictures will be chosen as winners.

As part of its eco-friendly initiative, the FM company will also distribute Imdaad branded candles to VVIPs, VIPs, employees, and its media and social media partners. Visitors to its Jebel Ali and Dubai Festival City offices may also get the customized candles from the reception staff.  This is the second consecutive year that Imdaad is participating in Earth Hour, the world’s largest grass-roots environmental movement towards action on climate change. It involves switching off the lights from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in March of every year.

Jamal Lootah, CEO, Imdaad, said: “Earth Hour has turned into an important global event inspiring all of us to do our own share in saving the planet from the effects of climate change. Beyond the one hour, however, we should continue on with our efforts of conserving our natural resources. At Imdaad, we have incorporated several eco-friendly programs into our business processes and operations as our ongoing contributions to the worldwide environmental protection efforts. For this year’s Earth Hour, we initiated the #ImdaadEarthHour campaign to raise awareness to a larger group of people online and urge them to participate in this important event. We invite our followers, especially the young, to take part in our initiative and spread the word about the importance of saving our environment.”
