Noor Bank Supports Middle East's First ‘Global Child Forum'

Dubai-UAE: 21 November, 2014 - Children’s rights, child labour, trafficking of children and poor access to education were the focus of attention at the Global Child Forum 2014, which took place in Dubai recently, with the support of Noor Bank.

It was the first time for the Forum to be held outside Sweden, since its inception in 2009.

The conference that was attended by nearly 400 delegates was headlined by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden, Her Royal Highness Princess Haya bint Hussain of Jordan and His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development.

Hussain Al Qemzi, CEO of Noor Bank, said: “Noor Bank is proud to be sponsoring an event of great significance globally. It is vital that the children of today are properly cared for and are provided with the education, support and training necessary to enrich their lives. Today’s children are our future. We have a duty to nurture them and provide them with everything they need to fulfil their potential.”

The Forum was held in collaboration with Dubai Foundation for Women and Children.
