The exhibition will be held on 8-9 December 2013, Kuwait International Fair Ground, Mishref - State of Kuwait. NAS believes that the KIADF is ‘the one' promising platform to explore the growth opportunities in the State of Kuwait aviation scenario and its growth as modern global hub for aviation business. The KIADF is organized by Arabian Reach FZ LLC, under the patronage of Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), State of Kuwait, which is planning to spend billions of dollars on upgrading the infrastructure and facilities at existing airport and construct new terminal, wherein, the private sector and foreign investors are expected to play an important role in its development. The plan envisages expanding the Kuwait airport's capacity from present 6 million passengers per year to 13 million passengers per year by 2016, and to turn the airport into a major passenger and cargo hub. The expansion will include a new terminal equipped with the latest technology, widen the runways, enhance the existing control tower and build a new control tower and to set up a new cargo facility. Kuwait Airways has also announced it plans to buy up to 21 new aircrafts over the next two years to replace its current old fleet.
