DUBAI - February 20, 2023: The largest annual food and beverage sourcing event in the world, Gulfood 2023, kicks off today (20th February). Here are some of the highlights you can expect to see:
 
• H.E. Mariam Al Mheiri, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, will give a speech in the Al Multaqua Ballroom at 12pm.
• The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will welcome the FAS Administrator on its stand at the US Pavilion today at 11am.
• Agthia, the leading Abu Dhabi-based food and beverage company, will be launching a new Al Ain product on its stand at 12.30pm.
• Over at Top Table, there will be a series of masterclasses and chef talks taking place throughout the day. These include the below, among others:
o 20 minute masterclass, 'Dubai World Cuisine, Michelin Green Star Masterclass’ at 12.10pm - a sustainability focused masterclass by Gianni Tarabini of La Presef Restaurant and Stefano Pinciaroi of PS Restaurant, Italy.
o Chef Talks - Setting an Example for Sustainability with Peeter Pihel, the founder of Fotografiska, a restaurant that leads with the philosophy of sustainability, at 1.30pm.
• The Italian Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, H.E. Francesco Lollobrigida, will be visiting the Italian Pavilion at 1pm for a cooking demonstration. H.E. will be available for interviews between 12noon and 1pm, and 2.30 and 3pm - you can indicate interest by replying to this e-mail.
• Taste Estonia will also be at the Estonian Pavilion all day.
