Dubai, UAE - 03, October 2021: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, won two gold awards at the International District Energy Association (IDEA) Annual Conference & Tradeshow 2021, which was held last week in Austin, Central Texas, USA, under the theme ‘Powering the Future’. The conference was organized in virtual as well as in person modes and concluded with a participation of 2,400 experts from 30 countries. Empower’s winning represents a renewed international recognition of company’s efforts to promote the District Cooling concept worldwide, encourage decision makers to adopt this energy efficient cooling solution and apply the best integrated green practices.
Empower's merited winning of the two gold awards for the categories ‘Number of Buildings Committed’ & 'Total Building Area Committed' in the IDEA 2021 is the seventh of its kind as the company has won these two gold awards in the years 2005, 2007, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, in addition to the various other awards that Empower has received from IDEA more than 16 times for different categories. Moreover, Empower has been honored with many other awards in recognition of company’s amazing achievements and practical innovations in developing the district cooling industry in the world, raising the standards of the sector and Empower is now the largest district cooling services provider in the world.

The CEO indicated that the company will keep developing its district cooling systems to a level that surpass international standards, in order to provide high-quality services in response to the large and increasing demand for district cooling for a variety of projects in different fields, in line with the strategic direction of the Emirate of Dubai.
