THE STELLA MCCARTNEY AUTUMN 2016 COLLECTION Embracing an individual attitude; a playful style combination of sophisticated, sporty and romantic. A bold mix of prints and textures are blended in a juxtaposition of masculine and feminine modernity. Sexy and fun, leopard and tiger animal prints are boldly expressed in textures of jacquards, embroidery and Fur Free Fur. A mixed animal print look in a leopard jacquard knitted all in one made of sustainable viscose is layered with a black tiger Fur Free Fur bomber jacket. Cheeky cat motifs feature in prints, weighty tapestry jacquards and hand drawn sketches; bringing playfulness to refined tailoring and outerwear. A woven oversized coat matched with pure white cat portrait silk trousers and a bold stripe football knit jumper in cobalt, black and ink. Knitwear varies in gauge from fine ribs and gauzy recycled mohair to extreme cables and raw wool that are layered and sliced. Purposefully oversized and exaggerated, a wolf grey knitted all in one embodies a new take on tailoring paired with a felt grey mélange wool textured knitted sleeved boxy coat. Graphic circles and diagonal stripes decorate soft feminine dresses, loose trousers and blouses both in contrast and tonal shades. Inventive pattern cutting nips waists and rounds off shoulders while shirring pleats and spirals of architectural zips and hardware add edge. Evening invokes femininity inspired by vintage lingerie. Brocade corsetry is inlaid with mesh and lace, while floral jacquard dresses are veiled in voluminous shadows of invisible hazy tulle. Reflecting the natural hues of Autumn, the color palette consists of cream, pearl, fawn, granite, black, and pure white blends with an array of indigos and splashes of jazzberry, mandarin, and calendula. Accessories feature Bucket bags with brass handles and ring closures. Tonal nappa and alter croc finishes accompany Fur Free Fur, tiger and leopard. In addition to the expanded Elyse with sustainable wood heels, Binx with bio rubber sole and Odette styles, shoes are masculine in chisel toed loafers, crepe soled alter suede creepers and boots. Open back slippers are given feminine touches including charms, buckles, and gold bars. Jewelry is understated in brass of varying weights and volumes including chains, earpieces, rings and bangles.
