DDE is a pioneer in the action sports, lifestyle and bicycle sport industry; and a leading distributor of apparel, footwear, headwear and equipment. DDE is also the holding company for the Rage and Ride Bike Shop retail concepts.

The brands offered at the Captiv8 outlet include Caylor & Sons, Melin, 47, Neff, Starter, Mitchell & Ness, Volcom, Etnies, Altamont and Electric and so on. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Shahriar Khodsjasteh, CEO of DDE, said, “We are extremely happy to launch the first-ever exclusive headwear store in Dubai. As a pioneer in action sports, DDE gave a great head start in getting into the field of retailing caps. Our brands come from all over the world and we are proud to house some of the best names in the business. There are caps that you see a lot of stars wearing either at sporting event or a leisurely stroll. Youth want brands that speak to their mind and that bring out their personality.”

“We also have one of the most expensive caps on display by Melin. It is worth a whooping AED4, 995. There are a lot of curious passersby that are surprised at what the cap is priced. This store at Dubai Mall houses every style of cap that cap lovers need. We have caps with numbers, names of NBA teams, athletic, mellow, and military-coloured among others. We hope to increase our reach and open more outlets. We are positive about the feedback that we will receive,” he added.

Each brand displayed at Captiv8 has its own style and look. The brand Neff was launched in Southern California in 2002 by Shaun and Joe Neff. The brand has had collaborations with some of the biggest names like Snoop Dogg, Deadmau5 and Scarlett Johansson among others.

Caylor & Sons is comparatively a new player in the market, but is already turning to be a loved brand among the masses. Caylor & Sons caps sport a lot of graphics and innovative designs.

Synonymous with luxury, Melin is a premium headwear brand. Simply designed the caps have its distinct logo with three pillars that symbolize materials, details and innovation.

As the name suggests, 47 was a brand launched by two brothers in 1947. Since, the brand has grown to be the licensed partner with four key professional American sports leagues – MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL.

Mitchell & Ness is another brand that designs athletic looks caps and is also a licensed partner of major sporting events.

A premium athletic brand, Starter pioneered the fusion of sports clothing and popular culture. A favorite among college goers the brand is youthful and colorful.
Volcom and Etnies cater mainly to the skateboarding generation. The caps are designed to suit a skateboarder’s personality.

Altamont and Electric define funk in their apparels. Inspired by funky colors, palm tree designs and spatial elements, the caps are anything but boring.
