Dubai, UAE, November 16, 2015 - Imdaad, a leading provider of integrated facilities and Environment solutions in the GCC, has announced the launch of the Be’ati School Program, a ‘green’ campaign to highlight the importance of a sustainable environment among school children which targets 30,000 student participants. Through the campaign, the company will demonstrate the benefits of an environment-friendly and green lifestyle for a healthy present and a better tomorrow to students aged four to six years. The program seeks to teach youths the need for waste segregation and recycling as a vital component of environmental sustainability.

Be’ati School Program comes in line with Imdaad’s policy of taking its expertise and experience in waste management through recycling operations for environmental sustainability to the grass roots to make a greater and more focused impact on the society. The initiative will be running in a number of schools, including Dubai Modern Education School, JSS Private School, Rajagiri International School, GEMS Our Own Indian High School, and Credence High School, to name a few. It aims to impart knowledge about various ways to protect the environment in a manner consistent with the Dubai 2021 plan to make the emirate a smart and sustainable city.

Jamal Abdullah Lootah, Chief Executive Officer, Imdaad, said: “As a socially responsible organization, Imdaad continues to launch initiatives that are highly relevant for the development of our community. Our latest initiative, Be’ati School Program aims to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the environment through segregation of waste and recycling. We have decided to reach out to children as we believe that informing and enlightening them will result in the creation of a whole new generation of socially and environmentally aware citizens. I would like to express gratitude to the participating schools for supporting our cause and allowing us to reach out to young children to teach them about waste management.”

Bea’ti, which means ‘My Environment,’ is Imdaad’s flagship corporate social responsibility initiative that started in 2009. It seeks to inform young children about the environment and the importance of segregation and recycling of waste to make them active partners in the campaign to preserve it for the future generations. As part of the initiative, quizzes, short films and competitions are being organized in schools across the country.
