HH Sheikh Mohamed Al-Sharqi Attends the Commencement Ceremony at Ajman University, Fujairah Campus

Fujairah UAE, October 31, 2015: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohamed Al-Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Fujairah, Ajman University of Science & Technology, Fujairah Campus, organized this year's graduation ceremony, appropriately named 'Year of Innovation' batch at Sheikh Khalifa Hall in Fujairah. The ceremony was honored by the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Hamad Al-Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah and attended by Sheikh Dr. Rashed Bin Hamad Al-Sharqi, Chairman of Fujairah Culture & Media Authority and Sheikh Maktoum Bin Hamad Al-Sharqi.

Those present included His Excellency Saeed Mohamed Al-Raqbani, Special Advisor to the Ruler of Fujairah, Mr. Salim Al-Zahmi, director of Fujairah Crown Prince's Court, Mr. Khalid Saeed Salman, Member of the University's Board of Trustees, Mr. Osama Saeed Salman, Vice President of the University, the delegation of the Arab Doctors Association in Europe, the heads of local government departments, the University's faculty, students' parents, and guests.

His Highness Fujairah Crown Prince took the opportunity to congratulate the graduates on their hard-won achievement, and urged them to devote their acquired knowledge and skills to the service of the homeland and to the sustained development and progress of the country.

Sheikh Mohamed also reminded graduates of the cogent directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohamed Al-Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Fujairah, concerning the necessity of continuing the unrelenting effort to spread and develop education in the country, while ensuring the high quality of its outcomes even by global standards.

At the close of the ceremony, the 150 graduates, representing 8 degree-awarding colleges at Fujairah Campus, were honored by receiving their certificates from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Hamad Al-Sharqi. In turn, the Crown Prince was presented with the University shield in recognition of His Highness's support of the University.

Earlier, Mr. Osama Saeed Salman, Vice President of the University, in his address to the convocation had expressed his deep appreciation of Fujairah Crown Prince's generosity in honoring the graduation ceremony. He also underlined the significance of the graduation of the 'Year of Innovation' batch since this comes as a direct and meaningful translation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashed Al-Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and his declaration of 2015 as a 'Year of Innovation'.

Representing the graduates, Mr. Abdel-Aziz Al-Hamadi expressed in his address at the ceremony the heartfelt gratitude to His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah for his continuing support to the University and its students, vowing, on behalf of all graduates, to show steadfast loyalty to the country and its wise leadership at all times.
