The campaign was highly successful, welcoming interest and participation from various government organizations including the Dubai Police, Dubai Coast Guards, Dubai International Marine Club and Dubai Maritime City. The initiative received an overwhelming response from water vehicle riders, who attended the event to gain knowledge of various safety measures that can be implemented to make the water vehicle usage safer. The event was also attended by Mr. Ali Lanjawi, Yamaha water vehicle racer for Al Yousuf Motors. Al Yousuf Motors has been running the one-of-its-kind safety campaign successfully for three consecutive years now. The campaign focuses on highlighting the safety measures of using water vehicles, including the Yamaha WaveRunner recently launched by Al Yousuf Motors. While highlighting issues such as water vehicle accidents and sea fatalities that occur as a result of poor safety measures, the campaign stressed on the importance of wearing safety gears like lifejackets, helmets, shoes suitable for riding a water vehicle and other necessary safety equipment. The safety campaign also created awareness about possible injuries that can be caused due to mishandling of water vehicles and unnecessary risky maneuvering. The Al Yousuf Motors’ team along with Dubai Police conducted an interactive session to help with possible queries and concerns that customers may have. Speaking about this initiative, Mr. Eqbal Al Yousuf, President - Al Yousuf Group said, “Water sport has become a widely growing trend in the UAE. As official distributors of the Yamaha WaveRunner, which is one of the most popularly used water vehicles, we believe it is necessary to reiterate the implementation of safety measures while riding a water vehicle. The campaign in Dubai saw a huge participation from water vehicle users, which has given us further impetus to build on this event every year. Through this campaign, our aim has been to provide water vehicle users with the right knowledge that would help them be safer on the waters so as to be able to enjoy the sport a lot more.” Al Yousuf Motors also handed out gifts and route maps to all attendees of the event.
