Taking inspiration from the Greek islands and the mythological goddess of Ancient Greece, the Paul Andrew Spring/Summer 2015 collection harmonizes majestic feminine power with the glamour of an Aegean holiday. The “ATHENA” gladiator sandal is a laser-cut from a single piece of calfskin into a dramatic, knee-high stenciled boat on a stiletto heel. The “HERCULES” in studded saffiano calf skin gives modern edge to essential summer sandal. The “PATMOS” espadrille wedge wrap the foot in canvas and linen rope. The metallic mirror and karung snake detail of the “IKARIA” introduces evening with exotic shine. The signature “ZENAIDA” pump and “RHEA” sling-back are re-imagined in saturated tones and triple-dyed suede, kaleidoscope and pyramid print, python brocade and multi-colored layered suede. Ever present is the brand’s insistence on comfort and innovation: padded insoles, tubular padded straps, custom materials and handmade finishes, a new signature metal buckle. The color palette is a postcard from days of sailing amidst the islands, at once mighty and poetic. Aegean blue, pomegranate, fig green, sand, tangerine, aqua. These are shoes for a woman with confidence and allure, an extravagant romantic, a modern goddess. The Paul Andrew Spring/Summer 2015 collection debuts simultaneously with an exclusive video installation shot and directed by artist Steven Sebring.
