Michael Kors creates mandarin evening pajama set for Vogue, to be worn at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Benefit

NEW YORK May 9, 2015 - In celebration of “China: Through the Looking Glass,” the theme of this year’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Benefit and spring exhibition, Michael Kors has designed a set of elegant floral-patterned silk pajamas. The pajama sets, created especially for Vogue staffers to wear at the legendary annual gala, are inspired by classic Chinoiserie patterns. They come in shades of deep blue and mint with blossoms of pink, cream, and pale orange to mirror the event’s extraordinary décor.

Following the event, a limited number of pajama sets will be available for sale exclusively on the designer’s website, michaelkors.com. The pajamas will cost $1190 for a set. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the pajama sets will support The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
