Kareena Kapoor Khan prebooks the historical ‘Dubai Celebration Chain' from Dubai's biggest outlet – Malabar Gold & Diamonds

Malabar Gold & Diamonds partners with DGJG & DFRE to create the World’s Longest Handmade Gold Chain

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Indian Film Actress joined Malabar Gold & Diamonds in the creation of world’s longest handmade chain, which is jointly being manufactured by Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group (DGJG) and Dubai Festival & Retail Establishments (DFRE) along with selected manufacturers. 

Recognized as one of the most beautiful and successful actress in the Bollywood film industry, Kareena Kapoor Khan joined Mr Shamlal Ahamed M P, Managing Director- International Operations, Malabar Gold & Diamonds in connecting a link of this historic chain. She also prebooked a part of this chain from the biggest jewellery outlet in Dubai - Malabar Gold & Diamonds showroom in Gold Souk, just after the launch of this showroom. She also appreciated the efforts taken by Malabar Gold & Diamonds, being the largest partner in the manufacturing of this chain. 

“I am really proud to own a part of this historic chain and I am very excited to be a part of this initiative.” Kareena Kapoor Khan said.

Dubai Shopping Festival, the world’s largest shopping extravaganza would be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The world’s longest chain is being manufactured to commemorate this milestone. The remarkable creation, which is promptly named as “Dubai Celebration Chain” will create another record in the history of Dubai. The public will also get a rare chance to be a part of the history by owning a part of it in the form of bracelets or chains. 

Commenting on this occasion, Mr Shamlal Ahamed M P, Managing Director- International Operations, Malabar Gold & Diamonds said, “Dubai is a nation that always strives to make the impossible possible. Hence, I was not surprised with the official attempt of making another entry in to the ‘Guinness book of World Records’ by making the longest handmade gold chain. The chain will be ready for display by the 2nd week of January 2015 and the public can be a part of this unique project by booking a piece of the chain, which will be delivered once the record is set. The booking for the chain has been started and booking can be made by paying 10% of the total amount as advance deposit. Customers can own it as a bracelet of 8 gms or as chains ranging from 22 to 26 gms. The chain will be delivered to the prebooked customers in an exclusive branded pack along with a uniquely numbered certificate that states that it is a part of the world’s longest handmade chain.

Other partners of DGJG in this initiative are Siroya Jewellers, Sky Jewellery, Joy Alukkas and Emerald Jewellers DMCC.

With every piece of chain, the customers will also get raffle coupons, which will make them eligible to win up to 100 kilo gold and 40 carats of diamonds in raffle draws during the DSF 2015.
