Fourth Edition of Continuum Family Business Conference to be held in London

Event to Focus on Issues of Governance, Growth, the Next Generation of Leaders, and Macro-Economic Topics

Dubai - UAE: 15 June 2014 - Organised by the Tharawat Family Business Forum, and held under the guiding topic of ‘Values Driving Growth’, the Continuum Family Business Conference will take place for the fourth time, this year. Continuum has become a well-known gathering place for family businesses to explore how they have managed to sustain growth, whilst ensuring that their corporates have remained in line with family values. The event includes sessions on family governance, family entrepreneurship, next generation leadership, and family office structures.

To be held in London, United Kingdom, from 27 to 29 August, the three-day annual conference will bring together members of family businesses from the Middle East and North Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America to discuss and share their thoughts and experiences. The agenda features an interactive program of workshops and plenary sessions and behind-the-scene excursions to some of London’s most interesting venues, which in the past included Wembley Stadium, the Royal Opera House, and an auction at one of London’s leading auction houses.

Additionally, Prof. Stephane Garelli one of Europe’s most sought-after economic speakers from the IMD Business School in Switzerland, will discuss the economic outlook for the coming years and the role of family-owned companies; Mr. Joaquin Uriach, President of the Grupo Uriach in Spain will join the conference to discuss his family’s 175 year business success; and Mrs. Carole Hubscher, Chairwoman of leading Swiss manufacturer Caran d’Ache will join Continuum for the first time this year explaining how a focus on HR can lead to improved business success.
