Eclectic Dubai boutique o’de rose have once again added to their fashion offering with the official launch of their latest collection; an exclusive collaboration with talented French designer, Marie Stalla. Select media and guests were invited to the official reveal held at the boutique last night, Tuesday 22nd April.

The ‘Marie Stalla for o’de rose’ summer fashion collection is defined by staple wardrobe pieces with an eclectic o’de rose twist and feminine and fluid styles with subtle hints of bold colours. The collection is a collaboration between Managing Partner of o’de rose, Nadine Khoury, and Marie Stalla who joined hands to pursue their mutual love for fashion and style and create a line that is a unique fusion of French & Oriental touches.

Marie was strongly inspired by her multi-cultural background, having lived in various Middle Eastern countries throughout her career in fashion. She creates women’s clothes with the purpose of highlighting femininity and empowering through fashion. Her creations are highlighted by two main concepts: self-insurance via the basics and the expression of a strong personality through colors. Throughout the design process for the new collection, Nadine involvement ensured the signature style of o’de rose was evident in the pieces.

o’de rose is a twist from the French word ’eau de rose’ or rose water, which is an essential embodiment of the Arabic and Middle Eastern culture. Rose is a dominant theme of the boutique, which is translated through the colours, scents, texture, ambiance and their whole unique shopping experience. The boutique’s logo, The Phoenix, is a cross-cultural symbol that represents the mark of endless creative renewal. o’de rose also showcases some of its collection in Galleries Lafayette on the 2nd floor at Dubai Mall.

About Marie Stalla

Marie is French, born in south of France. She spent her first years living abroad, in oriental countries like Morocco, Iran and Iraq. These places have strongly marked Marie and strengthened her taste for the Middle Eastern culture, which enabled her smooth move to Dubai. She feels very comfortable in this vibrant city, inspired by its colors, population, smell, spirit as well as its energy and creative mindset.

Marie tends to create clothes for a very specific purpose, trying to answer a personal topic in life: femininity in its social environment and intimacy. Joy, cheerfulness and flawlessness are important in the designer’s life and that’s what she intends to channel through her designs that are simple, yet sophisticated, precise and easy to wear.

Marie’s work mainly emphasizes self-insurance via basics, essentially the style or cut and the black and white, then she works with colors, hidden details, specific materials to create a contrast and develop a feeling of strength and affirming individual personalities. Marie is constantly in touch with women. Their various mindsets and personalities inspire her and help Marie offer them the right gear to express their values and seduction.
