16 January 2014 - Bristol Vehicles Manufacturing Division (Bristol VMD), a subsidiary of the Concorde – Corodex Group and M.H. Al Mana Group of Companies (CCG), has revealed the roll out of seven new fire-fighting and emergency response vehicles as a result of a recent multimillion contract agreement with Gazprom Neft Badra BV, a subsidiary of Russia's fourth largest oil company Gazprom Neft. The new fleet of vehicles will be used in Gazprom Neft Badra BV's Badra oilfield project in Iraq. According to Bristol VMD senior executives, the company was able to deliver all seven vehicles since the contract was signed in December, 2012. Bristol VMD manufactured three types of vehicles—Oil Field Fire Fighting Vehicle (5 units), Rescuer and Pollution Control Vehicle (1 unit) and a Water and Foam Support Trailer (1 unit). The new units have been deployed to the Badra oilfield project, which is located in the Wassit province in Eastern Iraq where an estimated three billion barrels of oil are in place. “The fleet of new firefighting vehicles will play an important role in our work at the Badra Oilfield project,” said Alexander Kolomatskiy, Managing Director, Gazprom Neft Badra BV. “In fact, the contract we signed with Concorde – Corodex Group, stipulates the design, build, and manufacture of the seven new firefighting and emergency response vehicles, reinforces our objective of managing Emergency Response as a part of our preparation to start Badra field production this year”. “The release of these seven new vehicles to Gazprom Neft Badra BV represents the strong focus that they have placed on the safety and welfare of their personnel in the Badra Oilfield project. The new fleet of vehicles has been manufactured according to world class safety standards and is equipped with the latest technologies-- demonstrating our many years of experience in developing firefighting vehicles. The company has also revealed its participation at this year's edition of Intersec, the leading international meeting platform for the Security & Safety industry, which will be held from January 19 to 21, 2014 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event, which is being held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is expected to attract the participation of more than 1,100 exhibitors from more than 54 countries.
