Five Well-known Artists Converge in Dubai Dubai, UAE, 19 March 2016: La Galerie Nationale’s French owner Guillaume Cuiry hosted an Art Preview, an inauguration of its group art exhibition called 'Face to Face' on March 14 in the presence of media partners and art aficionados in Dubai. Guillaume Cuiry, owner and founder of La Galerie Nationale, said: “I am excited with the quality and breadth of the art series in our group exhibition. I called it “Face to Face” as it evokes a particular vision on a series of paintings and objects where the visitor's eye is captured at two levels. First, an approach with a humanistic interrogative perception with the portrait series realized by artists of a sudden sensitivity. Secondly, these works are an invitation to personal reflection, sometimes disturbing for the visitor, in a pure aesthetic, creating an impact that is both light and strong.” The integration of objects in the exhibition fosters a kind of culmination of this interrogative mind towards a more collaborative approach with a desire to exchange and engage in friendly reunions. The work mirrors one’s own journey and allows the visitor to make himself even part of this series of portraits, a kind of exploration from within. A collaboration of five artists with diverse backgrounds, the exhibit featured seven artworks from French artist Philippe Pasqua called “The Blind” series; two main artworks from Fred Kleinberg titled “Portrait” series; three pieces by Lebanese artist and painter Katia Traboulsi in the series called “Insider”. Belgian sculptor Arnaud Rivieren presented The Console/Bar from the “Meeting Point” series; while French artist Pierre Marie Lejeune showcased Cripto, one of his most iconic artworks. The exhibition of these prominent artists at the gallery is open to visitors from March 15, 2016 and lasts up to May 14, 2016.
