UAE, Dubai, 28 January 2016: du’s #UAEisHome National Day campaign social media competition is pleased to announce 18 winners, who took away prizes including LED Televisions, Macbook Airs and mini scooters among others. The competition attracted 2,406 participants who showcased their love for the UAE by posting drawings, poems and videos across social media platforms.

du would like to congratulate Farhana Choudry, Safa Al Alami, Amjad Mohammed, Yaqeen, Laila Al Alani, Jeevan Raj Pullihadathil, Aya Brimo, and Hamida Mitwali who participated on Facebook; Ali Al Mutawa, Heena Sharma, Sabeen Al Huhasu, Evolevolevol_18, Alibinsaqib, Madona 52, Deepsky 06, Ahmed _ Mohammad 101, Shafidxb 2014, Riazplr, and Adorable_vivian who took part on Instagram; and Haya Bahr who entered on Twitter.

du National Day campaigns have become something to look forward to each year, with each holding a significant social message and dimension. du’s 2014 National Day campaign, entitled Narzif, brought together a multitude of nationalities to introduce a famous Emirati dance and showcase its popularity inside and outside the country. The video created social media history by engaging residents from UAE and the GCC and achieving the highest views for any UAE National Day video till date (6 million).
