Middle East Cleaning Technology Week concludes on a high note

Middle East Cleaning Technology Week witnessed +160 regional and international exhibitors with a footfall of over 4349 attendees over the three-day event

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 24, 2015:  With UAE gearing up for Expo 2020 the Middle East Cleaning Technology Week (MECTW) couldn’t have taken place at a better time. In this backdrop, MECTW highlighted the importance of introducing latest technologies across three verticals - Clean Middle East Pulire, Gulf Laundrex Linen Care Expo and Gulf Car Wash Car Care Expo. The show was in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, of achieving sustainable development throughout the country, MECTW is a step towards a sustainable future. 

“Sustainable business solutions and services have become a necessity in a country, to reduce the carbon footprint. Meeting the current operational needs without compromising future generation’s ability to do the same, is the need of the hour. By showcasing newer technologies and solutions at MECTW is a leap and our commitment towards meeting the desired objective,” said Jayaraman Nair - Chairman, VIS. 

The MECTW which was inaugurated on November 2 by HE Butti Saeed Al Ghandi, Second Vice Chairman, Dubai World Trade Centre. The three trade shows, conferences, awards and associated events, generated awareness of cleaning and hygiene, laundry and dry cleaning and car wash and car care within the region and united thought leaders, policy makers and investors across the world.

The three shows together hosted +160 regional and international exhibitors with a footfall of over 4349 attendees over the three-day event. MECTW, with the support of Dubai Municipality and Bee’ah, presented the ‘Unsung City Cleaning Heroes’ awards, which were given out in honour of the dedicated services provided by the Dubai and Sharjah Street Cleaning Staff. The UAE’s hospitality, laundry and soft FM industries also came together for the coveted ‘Excellence Awards’ - a glittering awards ceremony on November 3, which recognised the painstaking efforts of the housekeeping, laundry and soft services FM attendants and supervisors. The awards witnessed a record participation with over 95 nominations!

Work on MECTW 2016 has already begun with an anticipated growth of 30 per cent.
