Featuring an exciting mix of well-loved designers alongside up and coming ones presenting their debut collections, the temporary boutique is certain to bring the culture of the city’s unique, flourishing design industry into Harvey Nichols – Dubai. All Things Mochi by Ayah Tabari Created by Palestinian born, Dubai-based designer Ayah Tabari, Mochi is one of Dubai’s most popular contemporary brands. Known for its bright, traditional embroideries, the label derives inspiration from different cultures and fuses ethnic embroidery techniques from countries such as India, Hungary and Uzbekistan with modern cuts and silhouettes, creating vivid collections that effortlessly merge eastern and western sensibilities. Zena Presley Harvey Nichols – Dubai are pleased to present Zena Presley, an incredibly talented Dubai-based designer whose debut collection will be featured at the Local and Regional Designers pop-up this summer. The Syrian born designer’s signature style has been established through collaborating with international artists to create unique prints and patterns that are inspired by her affection for cultural diversity; creating striking pieces that are certain to add flair to any summer wardrobe. Dee by Dalia Fun, feminine and pretty is the ethos of this Dubai-born, Palestinian-Lebanese designer. Inspired by vintage pieces, butterflies and ballerinas, Dee by Dalia Anthropology by Anthropology of Design Designed by the founder of the Anthropology of Design platform, the Anthropology collection embodies the essence of a platform that was created to explore the influence of local heritage and culture in the works of local designers. Futtaim Beljaflah’s collection for Harvey Nichols – Dubai derives inspiration from her Emirati heritage, creating updated, modern pieces that are strongly influenced by indigenous Emirati wear. The result: a highly sophisticated collection in natural fabrics and neutral colours that surpasses cultural boundaries. Faissal El-Malak The young Palestinian-Canadian designer brings his debut collection to the Harvey Nichols – Dubai Local and Regional Designers Pop-Up this summer. His diverse background which bridges the East and the West inspires his collection which fuses traditional Yemeni artisan work with modern design to create a scintillating mix of kaftans, tops and trousers that bring a Middle Eastern context to western clothing. IAMMAI by Anthropology of Design Anther designer to debuting at the Harvey Nichols – Dubai Regional Designers pop-up, Mai Albudoor a true “designer” with a background in art, architecture, interior and graphic design. Clean lines and elegant cuts in rich fabrics and colours define the young Emirati’s minimalist collection.
