Dubai, UAE - 8 June, 2014: The beloved British retailer brings yet another option for quality shoe shoppers in the UAE with the launch of the Originals collection at Level Shoe District in The Dubai Mall.

The stylish collection exclusive to the Level Shoe District features the Clarks Originals iconic styles including the Men’s and Women’s Desert Boot.
 
First launched in 1950, this lace up ankle boot has remained virtually unchanged since the time of its design by Nathan Clark.  The Desert Boot was inspired by a boot made in Cairo’s fabled Old Bazaar and was the footwear of choice for off-duty Army officers.

This iconic Desert Boot is known not only for being versatile but also extremely durable. The crepe sole has been an essential feature of Clarks Originals since its very existence. One of nature’s great shock absorbers and water-repellents, crepe is made from latex tapped from the para rubber tree. Mixed, mashed and dried, it’s rolled into sheets before being trimmed to size, with any off -cuts recycled. The outer suede, supplied by Charles F. Stead, a tannery in the north of England, has roots going all the way back to 1893.
