The House of Middle East is an exclusive event that runs during London Fashion Week showcasing up and coming designers originating from the Middle East. Three designers are carefully selected based on their unique designs, original creativity, and potential within the UK fashion market. On the runway in September at London Fashion Week, the designers each showcase 18-21 pieces from their new collection, on a long and beautiful runway at the Freemasons Hall in Covent Garden, to an audience filled with key industry members. The House of Middle East is brought to you by Katch International, the marketing, events and PR agency that has been organising popular fashion shows around the world for a number of years. Showing to a packed house on the main catwalk at Fashion Scout, Katch has put shows on for a variety of UK and international designers. Most famously, under the company owned umbrella of House of Evolution, each season Katch showcases 3 young brands on the same runway, consistently to a packed audience of celebrities, press and buyers. The Katch International directors have now decided to use their experience and expertise to create House of Middle East. “With offices in the Middle East and London, and notoriety in both regions for our fashion and events abilities, it made perfect sense to create this platform. There’s also an increasing popularity and hunger for Middle Eastern designers in the UK market, and this show gives designers the perfect platform to showcase their collections to key industry figures in a cost effective way” commented Stephanie Woollams, Director of Katch London. Georgie Woollams, co-owner and Managing Director added “During the last few years of running our Katch offices in the Middle East, I am frequently asked by designers about the strategy behind launching into the London market. We have taken the DAS Collection to the runway a few times, along with Rani Zakhem, Hema Kaul, Karen El-Khazen, Zeynep Tosun and Tahir Sultan. All designers’ collections were viewed by key buyers and they also received coverage in the likes of Vogue UK, Glamour and so on. It makes sense to extend our offering to other designers who may want assistance with getting their brand into one of the fashion capitals of the world.” House of Middle East will showcase a range of contemporary, edgy and innovative designers, carefully selected by industry insiders. The new platform, exclusive to next seasons Fashion Week roster, will be broadcast on FashionTV to a worldwide audience that reaches up to 320 million viewers. Applications for the September show are now open, and inquiries can be made by contacting Stephanie@katchthis.com in the Central London office.
