The move aims to integrate specialized paediatric care to best utilize state-of-the-art equipment and expertise. Dubai, United Arab Emirates, September 2, 2021: The Paediatric Endocrinology Services at Latifa Hospital for Women and Children and Dubai Hospital have been transferred to Al Jalila Children's Specialty Hospital. The move aims to provide specialized paediatric services to children under one roof as well as provides Dubai and Latifa Hospital an opportunity to focus on further developing and expanding their services. The decision aims to support the provision of the highest quality of care that is specialized and accessible. Recently, paediatric surgery and neurology services were also transferred from Latifa to Al Jalila hospital. The aim is to transfer paediatric services across DHA hospitals in Dubai to Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital. The decision was taken after detailed studies from specialists and experts in the field as well as after findings from hospitals that concluded that the integration would help best utilize the modern equipment and techniques available as well as further develop and expand specialized health services. The transfer will ensure that all the same protocols and provision of the highest level of care continues to be provided to patients. Dr. Abdulla Al Khayat, Chief Executive Officer of Al Jalila Children's Hospital said that the provision of specialised paediatric care under one roof helps provide high quality and accessible care to patients. He said: “The integration of paediatric services provides an opportunity for better utilization of available resources and state-of-the-art medical technology with an aim to continue to provide the highest quality of care to our patients. She added the move will further bolster the provision of high-quality paediatric care in the Emirate.
