Abu Dhabi, UAE - November 22, 2015: Three gifted musicians showcased their breathtaking talents on the F1 FanZone™stage as Yasalam’s newest addition Emerging Talent Competition held its first ever finale last night. The three finalists Jay Abo, Scott Attew and S.O.S. (Secrecy over Supremacy) performed in front of cheering fans and the esteemed jury panel: FLASH’s Lee Charteris, producer Reiner Erlings and rock star Jay Wud. After much deliberation amongst the respected judges, S.O.S (Secrecy over Supremacy was crowned the winner after thrilling the crowd with their exhilarating performance, incorporating their unique style with a deep passion for music. All of the artists were judged on raw talent and ambition, their growth during the mentoring weeks and their determination to succeed. Exuberant from the announcement, they said: “We are thrilled to have been announced the winners of ETC. Had it not been for the flawless guidance of the jury and ambassadors, we would have never excelled at discovering our hidden talents and improving existing ones. We would like to thank everyone who has helped contribute and give us this opportunity of a lifetime fromFLASH Entertainment and its Yasalam festival to our family and friends for their unwavering support.” Since its launch in August, the Emerging Talent Competition has been blown away by the influx of talented artists from across the Emirates.Though only one could be crowned champion, FLASH Entertainment alongside the ETC jury were thrilled to confirm that the 10 shortlisted artists will be playing at the F1 FanZone™stage through this week. Fans can keep an eye out for outstanding musical acts on the zone’s stage by by Josh Monteath, As Per Casper, Gohary, Leone Murphy and Pimms Brooke. Close to FLASH’s legacy of providing the best in entertainment for Abu Dhabi, the ETC brought together an exceptional cast of music and industry knowledge, in collaboration with twofour54. The jury panel, led by FLASH Entertainment’s VP of Operations Lee Charteris alongside composition master Reiner Erlings and internationally acclaimed rocker Jay Wud, eagerly poured over the entry submissions before selecting the 10 finalists to undergo four weeks of mentoring. Aiding with the intensive training and preparation sessions were ambassadors Radio One DJ Saif and Sound, Yasalam alumni Jae Franklin, talented vocalist Kamal Mussallamand other music industry experts. All mentoring sessions and workshops took place at the Creative Lab, twofour54. Lee Charteris shared his thoughts after the winner’s announcement: “The opportunity behind the newest aspect to Yasalam is one close to the vision of FLASH Entertainment. We know the capital and the UAE are a multifaceted community with unmatched variety in their creative and musical likes and abilities, and wanted to provide a platform to support this burgeoning talent and fosters a pipeline of homegrown music in the UAE It has been thrilling to watch our expectations be blown away by the first year’s host of submissions and we cannot wait to see what artists have in store for us next year.” Fans can now get front row spots for S.O.S’ exceptional performance live on the Beats on the Beach stage this Thursday, November 26th, before heading to du Arena for upcoming performances in The Village throughout the FLASH events calendar in 2016.
