United Arab Emirates. Tuesday, 1 September 2015: As children across the UAE head back to school this week, parents are once again coming to terms with quieter households, busy weekends, and a renewed focus on post-holiday fitness to shed some of those summertime pounds.

Everyone including parents is always keen to get back into exercising and staying fit at the start of the school year and just before all the holidays at the end of the year. So to help get UAE’s parents motivated, moving and ready for the new term ahead, Daman’s ActiveLife Electric Run has launched an offer aimed at them and their children alike.

All families buying tickets to ActiveLife Electric Run will be treated to a 15% discount on Electric Run LED shades. The exclusive offer is open to everyone through the event website - www.ElectricRun.ae. All you need to do is use the code “FAMILYFIT” when buying your LED shades online upon checkout before 9 September.

The world’s brightest 5K night run is set to take place on 6 November at Meydan and tickets are currently on sale to the public on www.ElectricRun.ae. Families signing up to this unique mass participation event can walk or run the course at their own pace with their children before they cross the finish line and arrive at the epic post-event concert.

ActiveLife Electric Run event organiser, Fast Track, is excited to get behind this latest offer to motivate UAE’s families to set a new health and fitness goal this season.

Race Director David Sanderson said: “Both parents and children reap a lot of benefits from exercising including being more attentive in school and in the workplace. Participating in ActiveLife Electric Run is one of the best ways for UAE families to set themselves a goal and stay motivated in the coming few months. This is a great way to mark the end of summer and sign up to a fun family activity that involves everyone.”

Also, getting involved in celebrating health and fitness at Electric Run’s debut in Dubai this November is Great Britain’s Olympic Champion and double gold medallist, Dame Kelly Holmes, who commented: “The thing about these events such as Electric Run is it’s not age specific or ability specific you can do it with your family or friends or you can do it in your comfort zone because there are other people who are the same ability as you. These events are just getting bigger and bigger especially here in the UAE.”

Tickets for Daman’s ActiveLife Electric Run are currently available to the public with a limited number of discounted tickets available to buy at www.ElectricRun.ae. Ticket prices for the event are now priced at AED 185 for individuals and are currently sold online and across all Fitness First Clubs in the UAE. Teams of four or more receive a lower rate of AED 165 per person and tickets can only be bought online. Prices will increase from 25 October so fans are encouraged to grab their tickets soon before they sell out.
