2nd Annual Arab Luxury World 2015 Brings the Best to Dubai - Two Day Conference Explores Middle East's Lucarative Luxury Sector

Dubai, UAE - 1 June 2015: With the Middle East’s luxury sector, estimated to be worth between USD 6 -10 billion and has recorded a growth of over 11 per cent in 2014, expectations for the coming years are for this luxury market to maintain a healthy growth of 8 per cent. Which is why delegates from around the world descended on Dubai 1-2 June for The Arab Luxury World 2015 conference, held at Dubai’s Westin Mina Seyahi. The 2nd annual edition of this highly-acclaimed conference, provided a strong platform for the region’s luxury stakeholders to discuss opportunities, challenges and trends they face, as well as a chance to explore industry reports, market data and the rising impact of technology and social media on the region’s luxury sector.

More than 35 individual panel discussions and breakout sessions took place over the two-day event, with influential speakers including David Friedman, president and co-founder at Wealth X, Karoline Huber, brand director for IWC Schaffhausen/Richemont Dubai, and Kolia Neveux, general manager of LVMH Watch and Jewellery/Tag Heuer. Subjects covered the future of the luxury market, fashion trends, content marketing, the elusive high net worth individual, celebrity endorsement, as well as the increasingly dynamic Saudi consumer market.

Arab Luxury World 2015 also welcomed speakers who design and set the fashion trends themselves, including the likes of Lebanese fashion designer Aisha Ramadan, and the uber stylish pair Ahmad El- Sayed & Saleh Al Banna, founders of the fashion brand House of Nomad. Nakheel is the official sponsor in the real estate developer category for the Arab Luxury World 2015.

Julien Hawari, Co-CEO of Arab Luxury World 2015 organizer Mediaquest Corp, said: “2015 is indeed an exciting and decisive time for the luxury industry and the Middle East market, as both are going through transformative changes. Arab Luxury World 2015 is the region’s premium insight-led conference for networking, learning, discovering and debating by those in the luxury niche sector. At this year’s conference we presented a diverse-range of speakers and generated research and experience-based insights from those close to the consumers as well as those from a more indirect and macro level. The insights-driven conversations generated at Arab Luxury World 2015 were based on facts, figures, first-hand knowledge based experiences, market research, as well as extensive consumer profiling.”

In 2014, research conducted by Bain & Company discovered that Dubai commands around 30 per cent of the Middle East luxury market, and around 60 percent of the UAE’s luxury market. Dubai, unlike any other cosmopolitan city in the region was the ideal location to host Arab Luxury World 2015.
