Condo Protego Renews Promise to Offer World-Class Consultative Services and IT Support in the Face of Evolving Industry Dubai, United Arab Emirates: After a decade of offering design-led storage solutions to private and public sector companies across the region, the UAE-based IT firm, Condo Protego, has reaffirmed its commitment to offering customers world-class consultative services. Standing as one of the leading data storage and protection firms in the region, Condo Protego was established in 2005 by its Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Calthorpe, and Chief Operating Officer, Savitha Bhaskar. “We have built our reputation over the last 10 years from a start-up company, to a top-of-the-mind IT solutions provider in the market,” said Savitha. “We now hold the largest market share in the UAE when it comes to customized enterprise back-up and recovery solutions.” This achievement was only made possible through focus and determination, says Savitha. Rather than pursuing a generalist approach, the firm grew “organically”, expanding its portfolio only once it has fully developed its professional and technical capacity to do so. “We are not a reseller, but a consultative solutions provider. This means we want to offer a solution that we can support completely, from the design stage to implementation and post-sales support,” said Savitha. “For example, we started with pure-play disk storage, then moved on to archival and enterprise back-up, and following that high-availability and disaster recovery, ensuring that our team was comprehensively trained every step of the way. Using this approach, our portfolio has grown from once offering only two solutions to now offering more than 20.” High expectations from UAE customers meant that Condo Protego’s achievement was no easy feat. “UAE customers have really high standards when it comes to customer service, and that is why we offered 24/7 support, and are still one of the few companies that not only promise a 30-minute response time, but deliver,” Savitha said. “Even during the economic turmoil over the years, customers did not lower their expectations. Instead, they wanted more value for their money, and this motivated us. “Our ability to stay true to our customers’ expectations and constantly deliver is what led to our success today. By partnering with global vendors, we were able to give our customers local access to world-class expertise.” In addition to achieving Tier 1 partnership status with its vendors, including EMC and Symantec, Condo Protego has also been honored with numerous awards, including recognition as one of the leading enterprise support partners in the region. In 2013, Condo Protego received the EMC 'Best Enterprise Storage Division Partner in the Gulf' Award in recognition of its design-led consultative selling and project implementation, and in 2014, for the second consecutive year, the firm was also named one of the top 20 systems integrators in the region by Dubai-based publisher, CPI Media Group, which produces a number of IT magazines, including Computer News Middle East and Reseller Middle East. However, the most honorable reward, Savitha said, is her repeat customers. “Customers that came onboard with us within the first three months of opening are still with us today,” said Savitha. “Nothing that we sell is exclusively available through us, so the loyalty we have from our customers is a testimony to our commitment to customer service.” As the IT industry evolves and more businesses seek virtualization, quality customer service becomes even more critical, Savitha said. “We now have a tougher job as a solutions provider; we have to become even more consultative. As businesses move to the cloud, software-defined data centers will require support services, and this is where our role will be increasingly important,” Savitha said. As the firm looks to continue expanding its portfolio, Condo Protego will not compromise on quality for quantity. “Yes, we have succeeded, but we there is always room to learn, room to grow, and we will continue to expand our portfolio while constantly developing our existing range of IT solutions and services,” Savitha said. Opening other offices in the region is not in the pipeline just yet, she added. “We are already serving many customers outside the UAE, and our priority right now is ensuring that our services meet the needs and requirements of our customers,” she said. “It’s one thing to have an empire, it is another to do what you do best.”
