Hala Badri named Best All Round Technology Executive in MEA

Executive Vice President, Brand and Communications, du, wins at Women in Technology MEA Awards 2014

Dubai, UAE, 21 January 2014: du is pleased to announce that Hala Badri, the company's Executive Vice President of Brand and Communications, was named the Best All Round Technology Executive during the recently-held inaugural Women in Technology MEA Awards 2014.

An integral contributor to du's success, Badri's win was based on the Award's criteria for showing consistent, all round performance in a technology-led business, driving sales, product development, market reach and strategic level feedback.

'The technology industry has traditionally been dominated by men, which makes the Women in Technology AMEA Awards a very welcome event,' said Badri. 'To be named the Best All Round Technology Executive in MEA is a sign of not only how far women have progressed in the industry, but of how nurturing du's environment is to encourage success amongst its employees without discrimination. I would like to thank the judging panel for their consideration.'

The WIT Awards 2014 web site was set up in October 2013 to receive nominations, from which 50+ nominations were short listed for deliberations.
