Abu Dhabi, UAE, June 27, 2016:

Statement from Abu Dhabi Airports: “As the school holidays have now started we anticipate around 85,000 passengers will depart from Abu Dhabi International Airport this week. Similar numbers are expected over the Eid Holiday, with 6th, 10th and 11th July forecast to be the busiest days. Abu Dhabi Airports advises passengers that E-registration, for the newly launched ‘Smart Travel’ initiative at Abu Dhabi International Airport, is now compulsory, and we therefore urge all travellers to arrive to the airport at least 3 hours before their flight departure time during this busy season. We have set up E-registration counters in the check-in areas so that guests can register as they wait to check-in. ‘Smart Travel’ was launched in March this year to enhance the passenger experience by decreasing processing times within the airport by up to 70%.”
