SHARJAH- March 7, 2016 - British-owned Advanced Armour Engineering -AAE- has signed a long-term agreement with Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) to establish two high-tech factories with a total working area of more than 50,000 sqft. “We plan to inaugurate the facility by June 2016. The pre-built facilities will be reconfigured to accommodate AAE's large-scale specialized processing machines”, said Simon Hurst, general manager of AAE. “We welcome AAE to SAIF Zone which has emerged as an ideal business hub. We see more industries and more trading companies from Europe and from Russia coming to Sharjah. I hope, AAE’s new initiative in SAIF zone will increase its output and expand its network.” Saud Salim Al Mazourei, Director of SAIF Zone and Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, said after signing the contract. Specialised in defence & security, transport, architectural metalwork, construction equipment, oil and gas equipment sector and maritime, AAE currently exports to over 12 countries and is firmly seen as the partner of choice of many of the leading Blue Chip OEMs in the region. “AAE is fully conversant in all grades of ballistic steel and metals and work closely with high-strength, wear-resistant and armoured grade steels. Due to our up-to-date knowledge and many years’ of experience, we are able to assist clients in selecting the right materials for various applications”, Simon Hurst added. “Our highly trained technicians have more than 25 years' experience in materials processing & design optimisation in both ballistic and blast mitigating steels”, concluded Simon Hurst.
