Dubai, UAE, 22 December 2014:  As GEMS students around the UAE begin to find out about the 2014 H.H Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards, also known as the University of Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards, one student at Our Own English High School, Fujairah is on top of the world with the news she has received.

Ayesha Memon will receive a Top of the World award for obtaining the highest mark in the in world in the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics examination.  

“These awards recognise the extraordinary achievements of our students.  We are extremely proud that one of our students has been recognized on a global level for her accomplishments. Ayesha’s award is a testament to her sustained effort with maths over many years, the unstinting support of her parents and the dedication of her teachers,” said Margaret Atack, Chief Education Officer at GEMS Education.

“We look forward to celebrating all of the successes our students will have in the 2014 H.H Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards,” she concluded.

All H.H Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cambridge Outstanding Learner Award winners for 2014 will be recognized in an award ceremony early in 2015.
