Dubai - An Abu Dhabi Indian national who has never owned a car won a brand new Dodge Charger R/T after his ticket was pulled out at a raffle in the SanDisk win a car competition during the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).

With close to 12 000 entries from all over the UAE, Alfaj Ishak Mohammad Mansoori emerged the winner of the competition after purchasing a 16GB Micro SD.

“On behalf of SanDisk Middle East we would like to congratulate Mr Mansoori,” said Tareq Husseini, Regional Sales Director Mediterranean Middle East and Africa at SanDisk. “We had a phenomenal response to the competition and are pleased at the outcome. The region has always supported SanDisk and we are grateful for this dedication.”

The Indian national who has lived in the UAE for the past seven years plans on selling the car and taking a vacation to India to see his wife and daughter who he has not seen in two years.

“This is truly a dream come true,” said Mansoori. “At first I did not believe my luck but now after realising that this is real I am delighted.” “I wish I had a driver’s license so I could keep this car but I am happy that my family back in India gets to benefit from my winnings as well.”

The competition which kicked off in January this year ended on February 2nd. Entries were valid upon purchase of SanDisk Ultra®, SanDisk Extreme® and SanDisk Extreme Pro® products.
