UAE superstar Hussain Al Jasmi visits du stand at GITEX, pledges support for du and Meydan IMAX's joint campaign to support Dubai's bid for Expo 2020 Dubai, UAE, 24 October 2013: Noted UAE musician and superstar Hussain Al Jasmi - du's Every Step Counts Ambassador, visited du's stand in GITEX. He was received by Osman Sultan, du's Chief Executive and other senior du executives, and taken around the various exhibits. Impressed with smart technologies of now and the future at the du stand, Hussain Al Jasmi pledged his full support for a joint initiative by du and Meydan IMAX to bring together youth from over 180 nationalities living in the UAE, to support Dubai's bid for Expo 2020, through an online petition. This GITEX, du is showcasing the ways in which smart technology is making the world, now and in the future, a better, happier place, through more convenience, quicker services, and simpler, better access to the things that matter most to its customers – whether that's keeping in touch with their clients or colleagues through a custom-made app, watching their favourite shows on the screen of their choice, or accessing government services at the touch of a button through their smartphone.
