CEDARS Surgery Department named after Professor Dr. Guenther Kieninger

Dubai, UAE 21 August 2013 - CEDARS Jebel Ali International Hospital has renamed the Surgical Department in honour of Professor Dr. Guenther Kieninger for his continuous contribution to CEDARS and his professional excellence since he joined in 2004.

I am really grateful and pleased to know that my efforts will leave a footprint for the future,” says Prof. Dr. Guenther Kieninger during a ceremony held at CEDARS Hospital in July 2013.

Prof. Dr. Guenther Kieninger is the Medical Director and Head of Department of Surgery at CEDARS - Jebel Ali International Hospital since 2004. With more than 35 years experience as Professor of Surgery, the German national was the Director of the Department for General Visceral and Trauma Surgery and the Medical Director of the Bad Cannstatt Hospital in Stuttgart until 2003 before joining CEDARS Hospital. He is specializes in general, abdominal and laparoscopic surgery and has operated on thousands of patients in Europe, US, Asia and Africa throughout his professional career.
