“Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.” The exhibition explores how fashion designers are reconciling the handmade and the machine-made in the creation of haute couture and avant-garde ready-to-wear. The evening was co-chaired by Idris Elba, Jonathan Ive, Taylor Swift and Anna Wintour. ATTENDEES WEARING TOMMY HILFIGER: Tommy Hilfiger wore a custom ivory gabardine, single-breasted tuxedo jacket with a black silk faille cuff, peak lapel and covered buttons with black tuxedo pants. Dee Hilfiger wore a custom designed black silk organza gown with a spray of computer-simulated silver embroideries that were crafted from laser-cut industrial metals, mirror shards and mini cogs. Gigi Hadid wore a custom designed gown featuring an embellished corset and high-waist briefs covered in metallic micro beads and a sheer silk georgette skirt in pewter and steel tones. Hailey Baldwin wore a custom designed body-con black and pewter sequined dress with vertical stripes, low plunging back and side slit. Uma Thurman wore a custom designed ivory crepe dress with a low plunging back and strap details. Aziz Ansari wore a midnight blue, two-button, single-breasted notch lapel tuxedo with a white French cuff tuxedo shirt and a silver silk bow tie, all from the Tommy Hilfiger Tailored collection. Luke Evans wore a midnight blue two-button, notch lapel, single-breasted tuxedo with a white French cuff tuxedo shirt, silk bow tie and black patent leather dress shoes, all from the Tommy Hilfiger Tailored collection.
