Al Shola Private School Named Winners of the Stars of Tomorrow Cup – Season 2

Finalists from the Pan-Emirates School League Play to Win at Dubai Mall Ice Rink

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Al Shola Private School defeated Al Mawakeb School, Garhoud (3-2) during a riveting Stars of Tomorrow Cup knockout tournament at the Dubai Mall Ice Rink on Friday, 15 January 2016.

The second phase of the pan-Emirates school league culminated in an exhilarating match, where sixteen qualifying teams from across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah battled it out for the Stars of Tomorrow Cup.

Powered by axiom and Ahdaaf, the Stars of Tomorrow School Cup offers an opportunity for youth across the UAE to gain nation-wide recognition, and receive support towards becoming professional football players through healthy competition.

“By harnessing the talent of our youth, we enable them to thrive and succeed, and this is precisely what we have been able to do by giving students a much needed platform to practice, develop, and embrace this beloved sport,” said Faisal Al Bannai, Managing Director at axiom. “The remarkable talent we have witnessed throughout the tournament is a clear demonstration of our youth’s potential to nationally represent the UAE.”

The sixteen finalists were selected among 36 schools from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah during the Stars of Tomorrow school league.

For the third and final phase, 30 UAE-based national and expatriate players will be selected to form an elite intercultural team that will compete for the All Stars Cup in an official club stadium in Dubai.
