Suzanne Robinson to drive company’s marketing strategy as demand for professional home maintenance continues to grow

27 September 2015: UAE-based home maintenance company Hitches & Glitches has appointed Suzanne Robinson to manage its sales & marketing initiatives, at a time when demand for professional residential maintenance in the UAE is escalating, as landlords and owner-occupiers in particular, look to safeguard their property investments.

British national Robinson has been living and working in the UAE for over 24 years now and apart from leading the sales department and implementing and managing all aspects of Hitches & Glitches marketing strategy, she will be training the new contact centre customer care representatives and will take responsibility for new product development and pricing.

“Having arrived in the UAE in 1991, Suzanne has extensive experience after fulfilling a variety of senior marketing assignments for global brands companies such as Sunguard, Jacuzzi, CAA,” said Lukas Eigenmann, Operations Director, Hitches & Glitches.

“Suzanne has also held high profile consultancy positions within the facilities management sector, developing an enviable reputation for her knowledge and expertise in large scale mobile maintenance. These attributes are essential in today’s home maintenance market, which is increasingly being driven by innovative technology, sound logistics and of course highly trained technicians,” added Eigenmann.

During her short tenure, Robinson has already launched ‘Live Chat’ on Hitches & Glitches interactive website. The service which is available 24/7 - many landlords and owners are often overseas in different time zones, enables customers to conduct online conversations with in-house customer care teams to enquire about general services, or to request instant support services.

Robinson is also in the process of adding a sustainability store to its website, where customers can buy direct, online a range of ‘green’ products, such as LED lights and cleaning fluids which contain limited chemicals and use less water during the cleaning process.

Commenting on her new role Robinson said: “I have witnessed the remarkable growth in the UAE residential property sector during my time here, especially the freehold market, which has developed and matured considerably over the past 12 years.

“As many of the first freehold communities and residential towers begin to age, property maintenance becomes even more relevant to investors today, whether they have bought from new or on the secondary market. Increasingly they recognise that protecting their property with regular maintenance, is no longer a false economy.

“Future growth for the region’s FM sector is guaranteed, so my strategy is to focus on innovation, technology, sustainability, training and service delivery excellence, to ensure Hitches & Glitches secures more than its fair market share of this dynamic sector,” added Robinson.

Already one of the largest residential property maintenance businesses in the UAE, Hitches and Glitches is part of the Farnek group of companies, which was established 35 years ago in the UAE. The multi-award-winning Farnek, has offices in the Northern Emirates, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. It has a skilled workforce of more than 2,500 people, attending to over 10,000 customers.
