Dubai, May 2015: At the Middle East Stone Show, Fila Surface Care Solutions announced the signing of a new contract with Jumeirah International to manage the protection of all marble surfaces used during phase four of Madinat Jumeirah. This new project was awarded to Fila’s Middle East Office due to its continued effort to raise awareness for the importance of stone protection in the region. Fila Surface Care Solutions, a major international manufacturer of eco-friendly and cost-effective products, is set to further establish its expertise in the region. Developed in house, Fila’s award winning products are solvent free and perfectly adapted to protect the stone surfaces of the GCC from the harsh climate. Its wide range of products is manufactured to protect the finest surfaces including marble, porcelain, stoneware, terracotta and wood. “We have worked with Jumeirah many times in the past, when we protected the external cladding of the Burj El Arab or the internal floor of Emirates Towers for example. This year they have entrusted our expertise one more time to protect all marble surfaces –flooring and countertop– of phase four of Madinat Jumeirah. We will use our LEED-compliant eco-friendly stain-proof solution to protect their marble surfaces.” Said Francesco Pettenon, Managing and Commercial Director of Fila Surface Care Solutions. “This is one more proof that the major construction actors of the region are now fully aware of the importance of protecting stones beforehand, to prevent any irreversible damage. In the past, we have heard of whole buildings whose stone surfaces had to be ripped out and replaced hardly two years after they were built because they were too damaged. I believe this type of mistakes will not happen as often now.
