Comba Telecom to Address Region's Mounting Mobile Data Traffic at LTE MENA

Wireless solutions provider set to present blueprint for building cost-effective HetNets at upcoming event

Dubai, UAE – May 11, 2015: Comba Telecom Systems Holdings Limited, a global leading wireless solutions provider, will present the key to constructing a cost-effective HetNet for increased coverage and capacity on day one of LTE MENA 2015; HetNets continue to gain importance in light of the Middle East and Africa’s mounting mobile data traffic, which is expected to escalate at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 72%, with a predicted 56 million LTE connections in the MENA region alone by 2018 [1].

“Mobile operators in the region are rolling out higher capacity LTE Networks to guarantee quality, seamless coverage and the freedom of always-on mobility. Driven by the thriving demand, overall global spending on HetNet infrastructure is expected to reach USD 20 billion annually by the end of 2015 [2], while small cells, carrier Wi-Fi, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and C-RAN networks are set to account for over 50% of all mobile data traffic.
