Over 500 people participated in a #BigMacSelfie at Sky Dive Dubai as part of the global imlovinit24 initiative UAE, Dubai; Tuesday 24th March 2015: McDonald’s UAE was one of 24 markets around the world to take part in the global #imlovinit24 initiative, through the #BigMacSelfie this afternoon at Sky Dive Dubai. Hundreds of people including McDonald’s UAE staff, McDonald’s regional management, media and members of the public congregated together in the shape the famous Big Mac Burger, completing the ultimate selfie shot in celebration of the #BigMacSelfie. The recent campaign has taken place throughout selected McDonald’s stores, specifically fitted out with the specialised selfie booths. Mr. Walid Fakih, General Manager of McDonald’s UAE said: “At McDonald’s UAE, customer experience is the focus of all that we do. Today, through imlovinit24, we are focusing on the fun of our brand, uniting and engaging our customers through something truly positive: the sharing of 24 moments of joy with millions of people around the world in 24 hours”. Today, McDonald’s aims to bring the world together virtually through 24 gifts of joy in 24 cities in 24 hours, illustrating what the brand does every day - serving joy to millions of people. Sydney, Australia, kicked off #imlovinit24 with a giant ball pit in the shape of a cup of coffee, giving away a free morning coffee to all participants. Other global events include a pajama party in Italy, and special drive-thru’s in the Philippines, Denmark and Vietnam. The world-wide initiative will end in the US with a free concert from global R&B singer Ne-Yo, who will sing a “Lovin’” anthem composed of crowd-sourced lyrics from fans. #imlovinit24 will unfold throughout the 24-hour period on imlovinit24.com, where customers around the world can digitally experience events in participating cities around the world.
