IV Quattro: a new exciting place to eat out in Downtown

Dubai, February 19, 2015: It was my first time in IV Quattro since they recently opened this January. Our editorial team (godubai.com) usually frequented Dubai Mall for shops and food, and has occasionally explored the Downtown area, but never really tried going for serious restaurant visits until last night - we had a chance to check out this promising place and see what’s in store for us.

Quattro which means “four” in Italian is what this dining destination is about. IV Quattro serves 4 different cuisines - French, Italian, Spanish and Brazilian - that boast an array of superb dishes matched with equally great service.

We started with Salade Nicoise. I would normally order Cesar Salad at any given day and have tried Nicoise Salad in another place before. But this time I wanted to satisfy my tuna craving and I wasn’t disappointed with what we had. All the ingredients I was expecting were in there and were deliciously fresh, flavorful and excellently presented.

For the main course, we chose their best-selling Paella Marisco and Faux-filet Grille. The Paella is indeed a masterpiece and the best version I’ve tasted in Dubai. The rice and the seafood ingredients perfectly blend together. This is a stand-out food! The grilled rib-eye steak on the other hand is cooked just the way I want it -- absolutely tender with less overpowering taste.

Since we are all big fans of sweets we couldn’t just pass on the dessert lineup which is highly enticing just by looking at it. We should have selected those which are excitingly new to us, but instead we decided to stick to the old-time favorite Tiramisu which has just the right balance of tastes, and the Molton Lava, one of the best chocolate desserts they have, rich but not too sweet.

Our overall experience with this restaurant was above average. The food is definitely worth the price you’ll pay for; I must say it’s reasonable. The place is classy and relaxing with a remarkable view of Burj Khalifa. The dining experience is backed up with some soothing European instrumental music that compliments the elegant look and feel of the place. And I just admire their multinational team -- very attentive, helpful and friendly. I had to ask them questions about some ingredients and other food stuff and they were quick and always ready to respond which I appreciate so much.

IV Quattro is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with weekend brunches to come very soon. At the moment, the restaurant offers a special promo for their customers, every Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM, where in visitors can get 1 sumptuous pizza for free when they purchase any of their offered dishes. This treat is something to look forward to but only offered for a limited time.

Altogether, I think IV Quattro is the best option for a food enthusiast like me who wants to have the best variety of food in just one place. It’s totally a must-try and my team is surely coming back to try the pasta and pizza on our next visit.
