McDonald’s UAE adopts new servicing technology in Al Ghurair Centre Restaurant UAE, Dubai, 22 December, 2014-20 years post-opening, the first ever McDonald’s restaurant to service the UAE has received a contemporary makeover. Following the Al Ghurair Centre restaurant serving its first hamburger in Deira on the 21st December,1994, the McDonald’s restaurant, complete with McCafe, will see the first Digital Menu Board and Dual-Point Ordering System launched in the UAE in the coming weeks. Used for the first time in McDonald’s UAE’s restaurants, the digital menuis designed to further engage customers, displaying the entire restaurant menu across the latest LCD flat screen technology. Comprising of ultra-low energy screens, the digital menu’s will display personalisedoffers and messages, enabling McDonald’s restaurants across the UAE to remain as environmentally friendly as possible through saving on paper products, while interacting in a smart way with customers. Another novelty at Al Ghurair Centre restaurant, the Dual-Point Ordering System will offer the most efficient service currently available to QSR around the UAE. The new system will see the customer switch from ordering and receiving from one location, to receiving their order from a separate point, resulting in a faster and more customer-friendly service. We look to continue challenging ourselves, endeavoring to meet our customers evolving needs through the delivery of the fastest and highest quality service to our customers.” Interior-wise, the new Al Ghurair Centre restaurant will feature a sleek, contemporary fit-out, whilst embracing rustic touches to bring the store back to its historical and traditional location within the mall. In addition, a dedicated McCafecounter will offer customers a “time out”, offering them a quality cup of Arabica coffee,served by specially trained baristas, and café-style food. Today, McDonald’s UAE operates 127 restaurants across the region, and employs over 4000 staff with plans to expand further in 2015.
