Musafir.com UAE Royals finish the Coca-Cola International Premier Tennis League presented by Qatar Airways on a high as they crush champions Micromax Indian Aces  
 
Dubai, United Arab Emirates (December 17, 2014): The Musafir.com UAE Royals finished the Coca-Cola IPTL presented by Qatar Airways on a strong note as they defeated champions Micromax Indian Aces convincingly by  29 games to 15

Spurred on by some great support for the home team, Musafir.com UAE Royals began on a slow note as Ana Ivanovic of Micromax Indian Aces defeated Kristina Mladenovic in a very close encounter which went till a shootout.  However the Musafir.com UAE Royals roared back strongly into the contest when the mixed doubles pair of Nenad Zimonjic and Krisitina Mladenovic breezed past the Indian pair of Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna of the Micromax Indian Aces by 6 games to just 2. 

The Musafir.com UAE Royals further strengthened their lead when the Men’s doubles pair of Novak Djokovic and Nenad Zimonjic defeated the pair of Rohan Bopanna and Gael Monfils of Micromax Indian Aces in convincing fashion.

The legends match saw Goran Ivanisevic of Musafir.com UAE Royals beat Cedric Pioline of Micromax Indian Aces. In a match which involved some thrilling groundstrokes and great serves by Goran Ivanisevic which was mixed with some great showmanship, Goran came from behind to beat Cedric in a shootout by 6 games to 5.

The final match of the tournament saw World No.1 Novak Djokovic at his best when he easily cruised past Gael Monfils by 6 games to 0. Novak displayed some excellent passing shots and returns which he has been renowned for. He thrilled the Dubai crowd with some excellent ground strokes which was filled with great panache.

Musafir.com UAE Royals finished very strongly in the inaugural International Premier Tennis League with 37 points and came a very close second to the winners Micromax Indian Aces, who won the championship with 38 points.
