March 11, 2014 Info2cell.com, the leading mobile service application provider in the Middle East, has posted a gross revenue increase of 27.7 per cent in 2013 over 2012 buoyed by its growing business-to-consumer products and services. The company also attributed the revenue growth to sister company BuckSense Inc.’s strong support to its business operations. Industry experts project that the region will witness over 350 million mobile subscriptions by the end of 2016. In terms of smartphone use, UAE is expected to record over 70 per cent smartphone penetration rate in the next two years, or an estimated 3.8 million handsets. Annual revenue on smartphone applications in the Middle East, meanwhile, is predicted to reach more than AED 735 million by 2015 as demand for Arabic language applications increases.
