Move aimed at reiterating Panasonic’s continued commitment towards leading the way in imaging technology

Dubai, United Arab Emirates 10th March 2014 - Panasonic’s latest portfolio of next-generation 4K audio visual solutions, including new camcorders, monitors, live switchers and the DMC-GH4 -  the World’s First 4K Video Recording Digital Single Lens Mirrorless Camera  are all on display at CABSAT 2014, taking place at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) from 11th to 13th March 2014.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, CABSAT is an established trade platform for the digital media sectors across the MENA region.

Panasonic has led the industry with its numerous 4K products and the company intends to provide new value to a diverse range of customers by utilizing the high volume of information made possible by 4K high resolution, as well as the ultra-realistic images, which are the strengths of 4K technology. Panasonic's 4K exhibit is based on this core concept, offering both individual consumers and business customers 4K solutions for diverse sectors and industries.

With the MENA market for media and broadcast industry expected to be worth more than $2 billion by 2015*, Panasonic remains at the forefront of the emergence of4K technology, and at CABSAT, visitors can get up close and personal with the AJPX270 -AVC-Ultra handheld camcorder, AVHS6000 - 32 channel -2ME live switcher and the BT4LH310 4K Professional LCD monitor and also experience the first glimpses of the industry leading GH4 -4K Camera with the compatible SD card.

DMC- GH4

Panasonic’s new DMC-GH4 is the world’s first single lens mirror less camera that is capable of capturing striking 4K videos. Professional photographers and videographers can also take advantage of Panasonic’s new SDXC and SDHC UHS-I cards, the Gold Series “SDUC”, which complying with UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) and suitable for 4K video recording at a guaranteed constant minimum write speed of 30MB/s.

The newly developed 16.05-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor for DMC-GH4 excels both in sensitivity and response and suppresses rolling shutter effect even when using electronic shutter or recording motion image. The image processor Venus Engine is also newly developed dramatically boosting its performance with new quad-core CPU that lets high speed signal processing required for rich video recording such as 4K.

AJ - PX270

The new AJ-PX270 is the company’s first P2 HD handheld camera recorder with AVC-ULTRA recording. Combining the high quality and incredible efficiency of low bit rate recording and the flexibility of 3G/4G/LTE wireless mobility, the five-pound PX270 provides all the key functionality of Panasonic’s high-end, shoulder-mount camera recorder (the AJ-PX5000 with AVC-ULTRA). It also features newly-developed high-sensitivity, low-noise 1/3” 3-MOS imagers to produce stunning pictures, even in low light conditions. The ultimate news acquisition tool, the PX270 will be equally suitable for a wide range of sports, corporate, education and event applications.

AV-HS6000

The new AV-HS6000, a powerful, cost-effective 2 M/E switcher with 32 HD-SDI plus two DVI-D inputs, 16 HD-SDI outputs, 16 keyers, four independent MultiViewers, expandable clip storage, a Web server and many other advanced features. The new switcher is configurable to match an expanded slate of production needs, and is easily customizable for diverse workflows.  The HS6000 is a great tool for advanced production in house of worship, sports, broadcast, staging, and education. Furthermore, with a 3U compact design, the HS6000’s main chassis features a generous range of inputs and outputs to facilitate system integration. With its four DVEs per M/E, 16 keyers and 16 Aux busses, the HS6000 is easily able to handle creative projects requiring a fast, flexible response.

BT-4LH310

The new 4LH310's 4K 10-bit IPS panel affords native 4K resolution, a wide viewing angle, and faithful reproduction of up to 1.07 billion colors. The high quality LCD monitor features multiple professional inputs (including 3G/HD-SDI, HDMI and Display Port); true color processing with a 3D look-up table (LUT); HD closed captioning; and an eco-friendly panel with mercury-free LED backlight. The monitor has also been equipped with a production-tough aluminum frame, can operate on 28V DC besides AC, has worldwide 59.94/50Hz compatibility and VESA screws for mounting as well as comes with a supplied stand

ExpressP2 Card

ExpressP2, the new generation of P2 solid-state recording media  card is specifically designed to accommodate high frame rate 1080 HDAVC-ULTRA recording (above 60fps) as well as 4K capture. The expressP2 card offers fast transfer speeds (up to 2.4Gbps.), and contains a flash memory error correction system, equivalent to a RAID system, to recover from a failure in a sector, page, or entire block. The expressP2 card also features a secure Content Protection System, a self-monitoring system for usage count.
