NDC Awards Contract for Nine Additional Onshore Drilling Rigs with the Value of Close to One Billion AED

11 November 2013, Abu Dhabi, UAE: In keeping with its pledge to support the role of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) in maximizing economic and social benefits form UAE oil and gas resources, National Drilling Company (NDC) is sustaining its commitment to progress and develop persistently, through expanding its rigs fleet substantially, so as to meet all current and future requirements of its clients.
 
Within this backdrop, NDC recently signed an agreement with China Petroleum Technology & Development Corporation (CPTDC) to obtain 9 new land rigs, with a total value close to one billion Dirhams.
 
The new 9 rigs which will join NDC fleet during 2015 are additional to the 11 land rigs manufactured earlier by CPTDC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and were received by NDC throughout the last 3 years.
 
Furthermore, as per the signed agreement, NDC has the option for obtaining additional Rigs with the value of another one billion Dirhams.
 
The agreement was signed by NDC Chief Executive Officer Mr. Abdalla Saeed Al Suwaidi, and CPTDC Vice President Mr. Fan Shehong. Present in the ceremony were member of NDC Board of Directors Mr. Omar Suwaina Al Suwaidi, Senior Vice President (Technical) Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Raeesi, and Senior Vice President (Administration) Mr. Anas Ahmed Al Qubaisi.
 
The signing ceremony was also attended by BOMCO President Mr. Guo Mengqi, and Vice President Mr. Hu Baomin.
 
Commenting on the signing of this agreement, NDC CEO Mr. Abdalla Saeed Al Suwaidi emphasized that the company places its clients as its top priority, thus its main objective is fulfilling their requirements through providing the best quality of services, not only in terms of technical execution of jobs, but also in terms of readiness, reliability and service quality excellence.
 
Mr. Al Suwaidi expressed appreciation and gratitude to the Higher Management of ADNOC, NDC Board of Directors and the Board Advisory Committee for their pervasive support and persistent guidance.
