2013 DUBAI GRAND PARADE Dubai, November 8, 2013: Aston Martin participated in the 2013 Dubai Grand Parade in style, with an awe-inspiring line-up of 35 cars from across its model range. The Dubai Grand Parade, part of the Dubai Motor Festival, conducted in association with the Dubai International Motor Show, is witness to the largest turnout of the fastest, most exotic machinery and Aston Martin made its presence felt in substantial numbers at the event. Starting from the DB 4 going up to the Vanquish Volante and the ultimate One-77, Aston Martin set temperatures rising all over the route. The Aston Martin collection was the first group in the parade, following the police cars, and was led by the British Ambassador to the UAE's car. The parade featured 35 Aston Martin models in all, the many iterations of the DB, Vanquish and the Rapide included. Each of the Aston Martin models participating in the parade put on a spending spectacle, with their beautiful bodywork and the roars from their powerful V8 and V12 engines drowning out the cheers from spectators. The estimated total value of Aston Martins which participated in the parade was AED100 million, which means spectators got more than just a feast for the eyes. The parade was flagged off from the Dubai World Trade Centre and proceeded along Sheikh Zayed Road, finally returning back to the DWTC premises to assemble as part of the post-parade car gallery, where the stunning Aston Martins sent shutters and flashes into a flurry of activity. Neil Slade, General Manager, Aston Martin Middle East and North Africa said: “We are thrilled to be part of the Dubai Grand Parade, especially with such a strong turnout of Aston Martins. Every one of our cars has tremendous presence, great aural capabilities and is the ultimate in performance and luxury. To thus see 35 of our models setting the pace at the parade was not only an enjoyable experience for fans and spectators but also immensely exciting for us as participants.”
