New marketing and sales manager Dubai, 08 October 2013 – The German National Tourist Board is announcing the resignation of Antje Roeding from her position as a Director of the Marketing and Sales Office of the German National Tourist Office (GNTO)in the Gulf Countries. Antje has decided to leave the GNTO effectively from the 3rd of November 2013 to pursue other endeavors. Antje started in January 2008 and has since successfully managed the GNTO team in Dubai. She implemented new tools and identified new target groups for the travel destination Germany in the GCC which led into double-digit growth of numbers of overnight stays of GCC nationals in Germany over the last years. Petra Hedorfer, Chief Executive Office of the German National Tourist Board: “Antje has been an important contributor to the success of the GNTO in the Gulf region and, whilst we are sorry to see her leave, we wish her every success in the future.” Adnan Ben Abdallah who has joined the GNTO as a Marketing and Sales Manager to further develop the position of the travel destination Germany in the GCC will take over Antje's responsibilities. Hedorfer, on his hiring, “Adnan brings a wealth of PR, media and event organization experience to this position and, equally important, since he lived and studied in Germany, he has a great understanding of both cultures.” Adnan comes to the GNTO with six years proficiencies in the event industry in Germany and also worked as a PR consultant and free lancer journalist. Besides, he is native speaker both in Arabic and German, a strong asset working for the GNTO in the region. He also speaks English, French and has basic knowledge of Italian.
