07 October 2013 - Polaroid, the 75-year-old brand synonymous with instant imaging, sharing and fun, is expanding its official presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) market at a press conference this morning during this year's GITEX Shopper, the largest and most influential consumer IT and electronics sales extravaganza in the Middle East, which runs from October 5 to October 12, 2013 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). During the press conference, Polaroid named Emerio Technology JLT, as an authorized licensee for the Middle East, Gulf, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan regions. Emerio Technology JLT will be working with ‘tecbuy,' a leading retail management enabler, and Jeetek, their authorized distributor covering the GCC region and TPC to bring the fun and user friendly Polaroid products to Egypt consumers.

During GITEX Shopper 2013, the latest Polaroid offerings such as internet tablets, mobile phones, televisions, digital cameras and instant cameras are being showcased. The Polaroid S series of 8” and 10” tablets are powered by the Android™ 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and offer access to Google Play, a super-fast engine, High Definition (HD) displays and Bluetooth, WiFi, USB and OTG connectivity.

In addition to the S series tablet, a new range of Polaroid televisions such as the 40” and the 34” are being showcased as well as a new range of Polaroid digital cameras. The cameras include the Polaroid Z2300, Instant Digital Camera with Zink® (Zero Ink) technology and its mountable high definition sports camera models, the Polaroid S100 and the Polaroid S20. All of the Polaroid products will be available at the tecbuy' stand at the Gitex Shopper Sheikh Saeed Hall, stand numbers SS1- 20 & SS1-21.
