From 14 to 18 October visitors of GITEX Technology Week 2018 will witness the largest participation of Russian IT companies that was ever organized outside Russia. Over 40 Russian leading IT companies will present their solutions related to every sector of the show.

Continuous growth of Russian participation at GITEX is the product of Russian government incentive program and ambitions of Russian companies to expand towards highly competitive and fast developing Middle East IT market.

Based on successful participation of inaugural Russian pavilion at GITEX 2017, Russian Export Centre once again announced its support to Russian companies and will showcase 60% of its country participation at GITEX 2018. Another support program is initiated by Moscow Government which is offered to Moscow based companies. For the first time GITEX will host ‘Made in Moscow’ pavilion which will present 16 companies that were selected out of 50 candidates. The pavilion will include 6 companies listed in the Top 20 IT solution providers as per Moscow Agency of Innovation.

Alongside regular participation of Kaspersky Lab and InfiNET, visitors will notice repeated participation of Infowatch - one of the leading information security solution providers in Russia, Eltex - Russia’s leading producer of telecommunication equipment as well as RDP.RU, KeyGuard and RuSIEM. Over 60% of Russian exhibitors will present at the show for the first time including ISBC - the leading smart card and RFID tag manufacturer in Russia, Zecurion that provides reliable protection against computer leaks and many more.

In 2017 Russia’s IT Exports exceeded $7 billion, almost three times more than eight years ago. In comparison, the volume of Russia's most profitable export, weapons, is estimated at about $15 billion annually. The main share of Russian software exports goes to the US and Europe. At the same time demand for Russian IT solutions is growing also in Asia, in South America, Australia and the Middle East.

According to most recent annual survey conducted by Russoft - Russia’s major association of software developers, both Russian service and product companies have strengthened their positions in world

ratings. Eight service companies were included on the list of the 100 Top service companies in the world (according to IAOP). Russian software manufacturers continued to strengthen their position in “Gartner magic quadrants”, and the success of Russian companies in the information security sphere should be particularly noted.

According to Kamran Mehdiyev, Managing Director of Profex, official partner of GITEX in Russia and CIS, “Dubai hosted the largest number of Russian National pavilions across many sectors than any other city in the world which proves Dubai attractiveness as the exhibition and trade capital of Middle East as well as intentions of both Russian government and businesses to expand towards this rapidly developing market”.
